I'll be around, olive flylow jacket/pants, red-orange helmet. Ask for change. I like PBR.

LCC opening pushed back to 815, I was awake and saw the alert at 0430 but couldn't muster the strength to get out of bed. Regretting it now.

They are still shooting off now.. I'm up the canyon a ways... They opened up from the mouth at 725 but traffic has stopped twice since then.. this last time has been for about 25 minutes...Click image for larger version.

headed up to Lake Chute in White Pine over the weekend, found smooth & fast riding conditions all over White Pine. Exited down Scotties - we clearly weren't the first ones with that idea.

Another great day at the Bird. Sorry I didn't run into you Shaggy, had a bit of powder panic.

Also, 2* adult comp at the Bird Monday, March 16. https://www.freeskiers.org/news/599-...ird-fwq-2.html

Pretty sure I'll never be a comp skier but I may run out of excuses for this one.

hardest trailbreaking I've done this season. was kinda touchy this morning, snow cracking from the skinner, probably settled out by now though. the mellow stuff skied great, snow a little dense... could use a colder storm but I'll take the overdelivery anytime

No worries!! It was quite the day out there today. From the long road closure (almost made 2nd tram) crazy winds up top to bluebird and back to whiteout up top @230.. I wouldn't have wanted to slow anyone down..

Did they ever open up mineral today?? If they did it wasn't for very long. Too bad I fly out tomorrow..now off to find dinner!

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

great morning showing tgapp around my usual zone. snow calmed down a bit since yesterday but still pretty blower. I've been having fun on some "heavy" skis (custom Praxis Wootest 2.0s, still an UL/carbon core but ~350g/ski heavier than my usual stuff) the last few days, and I think I could get used to this... these fuckers rip

rumors circulating about a certain terrain opening at Alta/Bird. I'm beyond excited to hear it but won't be able to ski it until next weekend.

Got a couple small settlement whoomphs on the way up, no sluffs or shooting cracks, few small isolated wind pockets nothing really connected

Yeah, i guess some people ducked some ropes, from what I remember from that week, it was really close to being closed down within a day or two of opening.
