It's snowing in them thar hills! Im sure somebody is skiing something somewhere in the Wasatch right now so it seems fitting that our annual shitshow thread comes with it.

Now that I know the ways of the bypass road parking scene, I'm gonna be trying my hardest to use up my AltaBird day. Once those are done I guess I will go out the gates at Sorrydude. If anyone has any tips for discounts at The Cliff, let me know. My wife would like to stay there one weekend.

No uphill traffic now at Snowbird.
Good luck with the Cliff discount. If you know anyone who bought a snowbird season pass early, that may have come with discounted days at the cliff before Christmas.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Low angle grassy slopes at Alta were a lot of fun this afternoon. Measured 22" of snow at around 10.5k'. Lots of folks out getting after it, stoke level was high. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon in October!Click image for larger version.

Yeah, this is a wintery storm the Wasatch would be better off without. Excellent in November, but if not, not.

Celebrated 12 consectitive months of skiing in Utah and the first day of 19/20 ski season this morning!
It was great to feel Mother Nature's cold, wintery embrace again.
low angle was where it was at as anything remotely steep was hard to maintain a slow enough safe speed.
