First time up LLC, first time skiing Sniwbird. I was fortunate enough to have a business meeting there last week. Hit the storm cycle pretty well, I skied Wed-Friday, great conditions, super impressed with the resort. I will come back for sure.

yesterday....11AM start, shit show avoided...Butler, Mill A, Circle All...Silly chest deep blower! Very light density right side up snow which kept the turns deep and wallow factor to a minimum.... Zero instabilities noted on route traveled, south facing still blower on 4pm exit, shouldn't have any buried crusts from yesterday. Winds were well behaved.

Been an incredible week! Take it all with a grain of salt and hit the reset button each day with all the additional snow forecasted.

I'm back at work today too. I had to go back to work to rest my beat up body from skiing the last 5 straight days. What an incredible cycle we're in right now. I live for days like last Saturday afternoon at the bird, snowing several inches per hour and a resort full of a bunch of ikonic beaters who call it quits when visibility goes to shit. So good we even lapped wilbre lift at the end until they kicked us out, hadn't done that in a while. Got lucky and scored a free room at the Cliff Saturday night and was invited to a dinner party with more booze and food than I could possibility shove in my mouth and pockets. Yesterday the tram I was on erupted in a cheer when they announced the road was closed. Early bird gets the bird.

Pretty sure I had a top 5 or top 10 run today off the cirque. Was really hard to pull out of the parking lot at noon to get to a work meeting. Tomorrow's gonna be another all time day if you ask me!

No pics but Solitude today was pretty epic. For once the buses/traffic wasn't a mess (although my bus was delayed about 15 min at the second stop, wtf?) so I made it before lift opening. Mountain felt very empty. Took a while to open Honeycomb but pretty much everything had filled in quite nicely so lapping summit while waiting for Honeycomb to open worked out great. First chair on summit was especially nice. When Honeycomb opened it was DEEP. Had to call it a day by 1 to catch my flight but was honestly pretty skied out at that point. I'll be back!

After getting skunked yesterday I determined that wasn’t going to happen today. Got to the Bird at 5:11 today, woke up to last nights report from 7:21 of 9 inches in 12 hrs. Ain’t gonna lie, I was rather dismayed at the three inch report at 5:34. Lined up outside the tram door at 8, sparked a bowl and got a couple hits before owners of stashed skis came about.

Bout 8:10 tram op puts out the “Tram closed because of high winds”. The line behind me frets, “what shall we do?” My ninja ass wordlessly ducked under the wire, beat feet down to Zoom and scored 4th chair. As the line built I saw lotta folks I saw in the plaza earlier 30-40 chairs back, heh. Third chair solo on Gad2. Score.

Skied with Underoos pals today, good folks.

I'll will be returning this Friday after two weeks of work and a bout of the flu. I will be bringing my customary High Pressure with me yet again. I Enjoyed the posts though. I was on the fence about spring break with the kiddos, but the past storm cycle makes me confident April will still be deep regardless. At some point I'll take pics and contribute here.
