I’ll be at the bird Sunday too. I’ll be skiing with mtngirl, birdcunter and Rog, possibly Hugh Conway. We should all meet up, it’ll be ikonic. How will I know if I see you, do you have a Ski the East sticker on your helmet?

Ditto that. Every other turn for me on sketchy terrain is a recovery op.

That looks awesome. I was eyeing it from across the street today and wondering when it could be decent pseudo-corn. What time did you drop?

We were a little late if anything, I think we were skiing around 1:30, 1:45. Not quite corn yet but probably by the end of the week.

    Snowbird site says:

The brand new Alta-Bird Pass goes on sale May 1, 2020. More details coming soon.

Any idea what’s new about it?

WASATCH STOKE, CONDITIONS, OBSERVATIONS and ASSORTED DRIVAL 19-20

    https://www.snowbird.com/season-passes/

$1350 for the superior pass which includes Ikon base but no days at Alta. I guess its something, but really, they can't figure out how to give us a few Alta days out of the deal?

Edit: I do realize that includes almost unlimited skiing at Solitude. Hmm

Also $50 increase on the Snowbird only pass.

Wonder what the "all new alta-bird pass" means? All new price?

Interesting. I'd guess AltaBird is gonna go up in price and include a base Ikon.

Agreed. I have a feeling I'm gonna be left with too many options and the next six months of my life have a lot going on. Wish I didn't have to make a decision in May for next season.

Oh well, one thing's for sure, I'll be skiing in LCC.

With the Bird + Ikon base option wonder if that means the Summit doesn't get any days with the neighbors or any Mtn Collective benefits.

Since an Ikon base pass gives you 5 days at Alta/Sbird, I believe you would get those 5 days at Alta.

Plus now you can drive up to Jackson and help out with the tram line there.

Its in the (not that) fine print on the website. No days at Alta, JH, or Aspen.

How's it looking out there for Alta, Snowbird and Solitude? I have a 4 day weekend this weekend, trying to decide whether to go to Moab and bike/offroad or go skiing in SLC area.

Personally I'd go to Moab. Coverage is good but the snow surface is mediocre at best. Snow isn't supposed to move in until late Saturday night and the totals have been dropping. I drove through Moab last Friday and was getting some buyers remorse on spending vacation skiing at Taos rather than being a desert lizard.

thanks, that's kind of my thinking. I skied A Basin last weekend and the snow was also mediocre at best, ended up leaving early.

Did a SSE lap at ~11:30 and SSW lap at 12:15...getting close to corn (2" slushie on a supportable crust). Down low was total mush but manageable. Still fun out there!

Yeh, my bad about JH. Wondering if you can pay the $150 upcharge and get JH?
But something is not quite right. It must not be a normal base Ikon pass because
on the Ikon website Alta is still listed for 20/21 albeit with blackout dates.

Yeah my guess is they realized giving 5 "free" Alta days to bird passholders would potentially cannibalize altabird pass sales

Dibs is the man! With little notice, he mounted a couple of skis up for me last night. Thanks again for always helping out!

Taking advantage of my Ikon bus pass before they stop running the buses in a few weeks which has always baffled me why the bus service stops almost a month before the lifts stop turning....
