The Saturday canyon crawl is getting tedious. First world powder with a third world delivery system indeed.
1/2 hour after leaving the bypass I spotted friends in the Zoom lot, pulled into there and got to witness two people putting on skins to access their obviously got up too late parking spot.

FYI- Solitude moved the beacon training park up onto the mountain off summit lift by the dynamite trail. Need to have a lift pass to use the park.

Took first chair at Soli and skied over to Alta on Friday to join some buddies. Got to Twin Lakes Pass at 9:30. From there to the Alta parking lot I saw over 40 skinners coming up. No evidence of snowcat skiing. Popular place even though it was a week day with no new snow.

Well today at the bird taught me how much I am a jong I am... You guys don't play around do ya?? I found myself way over my head a few times.. hopefully this dump tonight will cushion my fat ass there tomorrow! ..
What time is a good time to head up in the morning? I left at 645 today and it was pretty smooth but if they close the road? Leave before they close it and get first tram?
