Mag Bake 2.0 UT... Bring it!

I was sidelined last March with a back injury, but I'll plan to participate in 2020.

Last years dinner party at dibs was awesome and it was great meeting a bunch of mags.
Looking forward to another local event this year and hopefully skiing with more mags this season.

I missed it last year but def down for 2.0 to join up and meet some mags this year. I also got fridays off so if anyone wants to tour Fridays, let me know.

Alta skied great Monday. Perfect for training laps up Collins. Can’t wait to spend all day there Friday; may even grill out in the parking lot for lunch.

It's snowing in the wasatch. Might as well turn up the stoke level with at least one of our favorite maggots

Not steep or deep, but if we're gonna pay for it later with facets might as well enjoy something today

Maybe 5-6" of low density. Snow guns were blasting at Alta. Would be sweet if they groomed things at some point later this week to make exercise laps more "fun"Click image for larger version.

Just after Roner skied, the filmer/climber Jimmy Dunn turns to me after listening to his radio and says "The helo willl be back around to film you in 60 seconds." This had never been the plan. I protested and he shrugged. It was my first outing in new AT skis and boots. The boots weren't fit and I was swimming in them. Thinking I could make good, I dove in with Todd Jones filming with a Gimbel from the helo. Immediately in the back seat I came to a complete stop against the far wall. Repeated the herky jerky twice more across the chute stopping fully on both turns. Helluva film debut. Kinda got a feel for the equipment and loose boots and with the good conditions made the rest of the run look ok albeit at half the speed that Angel did. Can't believe it's not in the final cut! And that TGR hasn't begged me to grace their lenses since!

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

I had just finished a little Sup and One of the Jones boys on the cam politely asked if I’d get out of his time lapse. Hate to be a beater.

Today I skied the guntower to Watson, meadow to corkscrew to home. One rock on my second or third turn to keep me humble. Bailed on Lone Pine. It’s happening.

Looks like two weeks of high pressure to keep the facet factory turning.

Imma head to Sedona next week to get one last ride in on the bike and fully switch to winter mode. See you beaters on the ski track Thursdays and Fridays.

It was great to feel Mother Nature's cold, wintery embrace again.
low angle was where it was at as anything remotely steep was hard to maintain a slow enough safe speed.

Can't stay over the radar forever.

Thinking about hiking up Moonbeam tomorrow. Does Sillytude have a ban on uphill traffic in place?
