Aspect was key as it was on Saturday.

Sounded like oft had a killer junior comp to judge after yesterday's visibility issues too.

Seriously, you're surprised?

It's like the Mariners providing a consistently, awful product year after year. They're not going to NOT take your season ticket money. You just got to treat Crystal, the way I treat the M's: go to at most three weekday games a year at $15 a ticket or free, bring your own food into the stadium, drink some beers with friends, and head home around the 5th inning after our AAA call up pitcher's gotten his shit lit up.

I like this take. The three games we go to are the Bark in the Park games so you get the added benefit of hanging out with a bunch of dogs.

I got botzed!

I was emailing Crystal management asking about their plans for next season to either limit demand, increase resources, or otherwise improve the skier experience. They said that Ikon controls pass sales (i.e. they sell as many as possible), and they have no plans to add resources (or at least none they would share). So if you enjoyed this season's shitshow, have fun next year too, 'cos their message seems to be that they have our money and they couldn't care less about whether or not we like what they are offering.

Apparently they begin demolition of all the buildings on the rentals side of staircase, including the chapel the day after season finishes for new larger footprint construction.

Meh.

With last week's brief high pressure system, I was able to snag a summit of Mt St Helen's. There was even some nice corn to be skied. Fist time for me up there, great straight forward climb and awesome views.

I heard from a pretty reliable source that the chapel is not going away, but everything else east of the stairs is - including ticket plaza and guest services building - to make way for a multi-level horseshoe-shaped new building that will have a the open end of the horseshoe open toward the lodge.

Spent a very un-ikonic week in Oregon, mostly at Meadows, showing my wife and girls where I used to ski years ago. Also got to check out some of the stuff in lower Heather that was never open until I moved out of state (and a lift out from Abs, WTF?!?).

Yep. It's always nice when the 2 inch snow report turns into 2 feet, in all the right places...

Damn right. Life got in the way of a full day of skiing but I was able to sneak in a couple hours in the AM
