Snow in the PNW 2019-20
^^
funny part is lines were barely middle of the road. Left at 1245 with a level 3 parking lot cluster but with lunch break underway last ch 2 load was maybe7-8 min. Earlier still < 20 min.
No E gate as of 1230. Snow def wind affected and heavier than earlier this week but still providing face shots.

Today exceeded all expectations... Especially after the fog rolled back it was like lifting the veil and kissing the bride . Lift line never got bad and the snow was great. Los of stashes in the trees near brkover.
Left my mark in the form of a bomb hole under the chair.. Didn't feel a thing. Ended up with one epic run out out the gate I think I was hooting and hollering the entire run it was so good pillows Galore and one not so epic as I drifted too close to trashcan no regerts.

Alpental was starting to get heavy by the end but skied nice all day. Was looking for the Tiger in Lot 4, but figured it was decamped to Hyak. Alpy lots all had full signs by 9am and people were getting creative. Agree with Slackey that lines were not even bad.
It's weird how driving/parking has gotten so much worse but on the mountain there's hardly a difference if not even better than a few years ago. Sounds like at Crystal the lines are bad as the mountain fills out but then nothing worse than before.
I will say that Alpy needs better parking crew in Lot 4. Too many cars are spaced crazy. They could get another 30 cars in Lot 4 with better parking direction. Plus no head in/back in parking on the east wall this year? What's up with that?

HOLY sHIT! I just drove back at 4pm on Hwy2 from Stevens on a Saturday and got back to Seatown in 90 minutes. That hasn't happened in at least 5 yrs, it was like a pow lap on the way home.
Move upside and let the man go through...

Missed the shuttle so had we had to drive ourselves. Evidently the plow driver missed it too. We had to break 14 miles of trail. When the snow is billowing over the hood as you're gaining altitude, you know it could be a good day.
However it also meant we had to break 2 miles of knee deep to get to our zone. Much bushwhacking, kickturning, and wallowing ensued.
Dug a pit, unconsolidated on top. Decided to giver a go.
Great cycle.

Any Intel on how crystal was today? Debating heading up in the am but not sure if I have the mental capacity to battle the traffic.

If only there were some sort of automated system that kept track of mountain temperatures at different elevations
