It was wonderful. Northway opened around noon. Was super nice of someone to try and slough me out of Paradise bowl after I was the 2nd one in

Snow was very touchy. The wind had packed everything into nicely reactive slabs that propagated if sneezed on them.

Lower half of the mountain was heavy in the morning and heavier by 2 when it was straight up pouring rain at the base.

I was all set to go and my car hard trouble starting , plus it was windy as hell at my house. I did get my car started but didn’t want to deal with a bad battery up there . Sounds like I made the wrong choice ... been too long since I really had an epic pow day . Hadn’t happened yet this year for me and it certainly didn’t last year ....,[emoji35][emoji35][emoji35]

So yesterday was wonky & wet - limiting lifts in the area or at least at Stevens. Temps dropped considerably (locking up mank?) and surface now has additional dry snow.
Speculators- are we going to see dangers and reduced lifts again today? Trying to figure out if I head up - don’t want to ski bunny slopes.

    1. Lower risk.
    2. Count on Vail keeping lifts closed for cost savin- er, I mean safety.

Hate to say it, but at this point Crystal is the most reliable game in town.

So you’re saying it pays to be Ikonic.
Stevens appears to be limited again. No MV, Chief, Tye, or 7th.

Probably about the same price as a decent new battery?

Given your experience yesterday, don’t you think it would be terrible skiing with the dramatic drop in temps? Coral reef and boilerplate.

Who knows, it’s probably knee deep blower

Your expectations of other's awareness in such matters may need adjusting?

Friday's looking like a great day to WFH, take out the recycling, enjoy an extended pass closure and prepare for Saturday's Zerg rush

Don't be fooled by the telemetry - it did dump quite a bit above 4k last night but nary an inch below. I imagine the turns beneath the padded seats will be great tomorrow but the ski out to the bottom will be character-building

Didn’t go yesterday. I’ve been jonesing since I returned from BC. Had to turn around because of roads and precious cargo a few days ago and then it went warm. Going up this afternoon- will share some beta.

There’s more new snow than you think down lower Harry Wappler, the meter pointed to the reasonably pleasant side today
