Yes to the powder tech jong show, and yes to all reports from up high being deep and PNW light snow. We only made it up to cambell basin and down where the snow was top notch snowball making snow... not so much great skiing snow. But it was very apparent that the higher you went the deeper the snow got, and the better the snow got. Next weekend should be pretty darn good too if the forecast shapes up.

levitating three feet in the air, repeating the "good for the base" mantra faster and faster as an aura of pure hype swirls and vibrates all around me, nearby ski edges glowing and harmonizing with the earth's magnetosphere

Rad. Surgeon says I'm not allowed to get out until Jan 1 but it's going to be hard to resist the temptation...

Gotta give the course a good wash for a proper base. Don’t want any weak base layers on dirty rocks and grass.
My house got a good power wash too the last 2 days. With the 3.5 inches of rain at my place.

My buddy down in Eugene is looking to get a pair of boots. After some preliminary searching, it seems like Bergs would be the go-to spot for good fitters? Or is there another place in Eugene/springfield that he should be looking at?

I'm so ready for the season to start. Unfortunately life has not been too kind to me. Some one broke into my mud room and garage, stealing some of my ski gear like my jacket, gloves, adjustable bd poles, and a set of skis (non ski related stuff was stolen too). With car problems and hospital/insurance bills I'm still scrounging money for my ikon pass. Home owners insurance should be able to atleast cover some of them that I have credit card receipts.
Shit, even if I don't manage to get the pass, I'll at least be earning my turns. I still have my touring set up.

We just moved here from Lake Tahoe. Off exit 38. I will be spending my time around Snoqualmie Pass and then Chinook in the spring, but hoping I can make time to branch out this winter. Hopefully we didn’t bring the drought and wildfires with us. I’m excited to explore the PNW on skis...maybe y’all will let me partake in a lap or two on the padded seats and maybe even score an invite to the BBI or formally-known-as-BBI.
Spent the day scoping lines. Nice backyard y’all have.

If you plan on skiing at Alpental you should get a pass before prices go up on Nov. 6 th
Your only twenty Mins away from the goods lot 4 can be a very mediocre place with plenty of people who can show you around. Watch out for the seasonal depression. Shits about to get real and north bend is one of the darkest gloomiest places I've ever stayed

Yea, get an Alpental pass and ski every day you can.
Even when it rains, just get rain gear and ski in the rain and love it.
Place will become your church over time.
