Say what you want, but sex offender registries are the modern day scarlet letter. They punish people far beyond what is just and it provides no rehabilitation. Once a criminal always a criminal. Can you possibly expect rehabilitation under these circumstances? Do you have any idea what it feels like to be treated like this? For the rest of your life. The effects go far beyond having to live somewhere specific and notify your neighbors. It can ban you from social media, disenfranchise your vote, prevent you from ever holding a job again.

Hard to find anyone who thinks sex offender registration for rape, child rape, and child porn to be unjust punishment. Anyone convicted of these offenses will be ordered to undergo a psychological evaluation and complete treatment. For certain sex offenses, you can petition to have the sex registration requirement removed if you are crime free for 10+ years, as well as vacate and dismiss the offense:

And I’m not talking about an 18yr old having consensual sex with a 16yr old.

We’re talking about grown men raping 7-8yr old girls and filming it. Then some waste of human flesh like our fellow TGR member here is a customer and gets off on it. Essentially helping create and maintain a market for the smut and in turn causing more child rape.

As I sit here with my 6yr old daughter I want to throw up I’m so sickened. I live 20 miles him and my daughter and I ski where he lives and skis. Does he look at our daughters in the lift line?

And yea, there’s a 4% chance he’s innocent and if so I’ll apologize. And I’m kind of disgusted by people here defending him for some reason.

I agree with you 1000%. I have daughters, not that it’s a qualifier in my mind and this behavior is completely unacceptable. Zero room for rehab. If true and convicted, death is the only option. Sympathizers can fuck themselves.

I've shared a large handful of chairs with him, stood in quite a few lift lineups on pow day mornings, and given him rides to/from east a couple times. So not super well. Others here know him much better. Sad and shocking to hear. Must have been quite a shock for the roommates as well.

Yes, when police come to your house with a search warrant for your computers, they seize everyone's computer in the house (it's not like they just ask for the suspect's and trust that answer). Then the police start searching everyone's computer in the house. They only give the roommates their computer back after they 100% know for sure it is not the suspect's computer. So the roommates had their computers seized and at least partially searched because of this.

He's not the first mag I've met who has raised my hackles, and I'm sure he won't be the last: there are more freaks out there than most people are comfortable admitting.

I don't in any way profess to know him well, but from the first time I met the guy I was always struck by the uneasy, disingenuous air he had about him. He always left me with the impression he had something to hide. Guess he may have.
