So, I think this could be an OK policy. If they initially sell out of the daily quota of tickets but still have capacity for more skiers/riders in the parking lots, they can make more tickets available and then post that on social media. I'm sure early on they'll be conservative with the number of days tickets initially and as they generate more data on sales they'll be able to better forecast the numbers over time. To some degree, from what I've heard it can't get much worse than it is right now, so I don't think there's much harm in trying most anything.
With that said, from what I'm hearing from friends who've tried to go up recently, it sounds like WSDOT could help the cause by being a bit more strict on enforcing chain rules. Of the incidents that have caused issues/stoppages on the blvd, i've heard the same story multiple times now - 2wd vehicle, no chains, no snow tires. A WSDOT chain check before the turn on to to the boulevard could prevent some of these accidents from even happening."If I could have any K2 skis this year I'd go with the Volkl Gotamas." - Monique

Don't they already do controlwork while public is around? Since the sheeple down there respect closures, thats their liabity policy. It baffles me that a piece of poly and some bamboo is the only thing seperating a pleb from some PETN.
In other news, it's ungodly deep up here. Like too deep... snowmobile at a 45* full pin barely moving deep

NWskier and kopi convinced me that I was coming down with black lung and should get on the shuttle to the high 12 today. I might pull through given all the blower that I inhaled throughout the day. Excellent snow, excellent peeps. Good day.
