Took me 90 mins to get from the house to 906 but it was worth the effort. Caught the rope drop on l'Internatonale and it's been good since

The wind buff at Mission has been amazing the past two days. Pure silk.

Took almost 4hrs to get to Alpy from Issaquah in the morning. Now stuck trying to get on the freeway to head down due to accidents. C'mon people, this ain't that hard. Will end up 6hrs of driving for 2hrs of skiing. Snow is still coming down.

Same at White Pass. Fantastic day of storm skiing. Sorry, although not surprised, to hear about the I-90 shitshow.

Nailed the timing today. Got to lot 4 as WSDOT twitter updated that EB 90 was closing this morning... they REALLY needed to close it. probably 20 semis stuck (all with chains on), one fully jacknifed accross all lanes with barely a cars width to get around. Multiple cars spinning and sliding sideways when at a standstill. The road was really, really slick. Once skiing, Chair 2 delivered super deep laps along with shit visibility and then after lunch we saw patrol dropping the rope at International as we offloaded chair 2. Crowds were very minimal, never waited more than 5 minutes in line probably. Knocked off after 2 intenational laps at about 215 and made it down into work in kirkland at 330. Be back up there tomorrow bright and early!

Actually delivered more than advertised in some areas!

mos' deep skiing w/ Jr. this morning before he left for Bozeman at noon. Gonna miss skiing with that kid until March. The afternoon shift had increasing wind and almost a complete reset but vis went to shit. After sitting in line 15min to get out of lot4 I parked the car and skied back to the house to where more beer was. Little lull in the storm now but hoping this cycle continues to bring it, been at least 35" since yesterday morning in the driveway and 40"+ on top of 2.

Don't feel too bad, it took me 90 mins to get to Alpental this morning from Hyak (75 of which were spent getting myself and several others unstuck on the neighborhood roads). Bagged 5 Nash laps from rope drop to last chair and spent an hour sitting on the road to get from lot4 to Dru Bru. Goddamn kooks go home!

Non-stop faceshots down sessel were an unexpected plus. Ran into roadrunner and roadrunner Jr and did my best wile coyote impression to try and keep up... (what I really needed would've been Acme rocket skis ). They were kind enough to do some waiting.
It was deep, but not not necessarily easy skiing. 7 or 8 top to bottoms with " I have no idea what the contours are doing" visibility. Most faceshots I've ever had in one day. Legs are trashed. Can't wait to do it again
Ps plenty of traffic fuckery... Hope the several hundred tourons and snowshoers made it out to snow lake and back without incident. Seemed like suicide to me but ignorance is bliss

    Snow in the PNW 2019-20

Similar story as others. Insane traffic/jack-knifed semis on the way up, deep powder runs with my kids at Central during the day, and watched 2 accidents (minor) happen on the way back to Issaquah. Crazy, fun day.

If lot 3 at Alpental is full, can you overnight park in lot 4?

No, security will boot you, but there will probably be space at Central.

If you know where the Patrol building is, it’s right across the lot just past the Century Link office.

What an absolute shitshow at Crystal today. However, goods were had. 5:30am Seattle departure rewarded us with parking halfway down B-lot.

I’m very jealous, but stoked for everyone that beat the weekenders and got some. New puppy will have me away from the hill for the next two weeks. I’m hoping that Ullr will continue to deliver for you all... Click image for larger version.
