Wiki tells me Boyne/Kircher bought Crystal in 1997, and they bought Summit in 2007. I believe even before Ikon I was getting free days at Alpy with the my Crystal pass.

Think how many people would go Ikon/Crystal if Vail didn't own Stevens/Whistler. Or on years like this when Whistler becomes obsolete.
Boyne bought the Summit a couple years ago before that it was owned by a couple different REITs Boyne managed the resort for them

There are probably wats to do that without it being too inconvenient if you're worried about future issues. https://www.wired.com/2017/04/just-p...can-steal-car/
Our cars were rifled through a fair amount until we bought a faraday bag to put the fobs in at night. 4 years later and not really much of a problem anymore. I thought they could just gain entry, I had no idea that could also start the car as well, that's nuts.

I wonder if newer models have an off switch to kill the signal, seems like a no brainer.

A little gloppy in the early afternoon sun but worth the trek, if just for the view

Figured there were a few kooks up there. New snow was pretty.

I took my lil clan for a Sunday stroll in the vicinity:

Just threw down for a High 12 season pass. Jumping ship from the inevitable crowds at Alpy this season. It may not be the most difficult skiing, but having the BC essentially to myself guarantees good turns. Any mags that want to get out there for the first time, hit me up. Happy to show the way. Jongs need not apply.

Someone has to take one for the team. Not sure how the weekday day ticket scene will look there, but I'm hopeful to come ski a few laps with you kooks regardless. Maybe I'll see you in the lot.

Sacrifice and taking one for the team at the High 12. Glad the place is far from metro Seattle and Portland populations. Have fun.

I will come down and ski with ya. Been trying to make it down for the last few years, but I'll make it happen this year.
Common sense. So rare today in America it's almost like having a superpower.

We've caught 5 mice in the house just this week and the squirrels are bombing the roof with acorns to crack em open. Winter is coming...

Was browsing the local hills hoping to glean some information regarding covid parking rules this season and found this gem of hilarity on the crystal website.

Crystal A lot passes for sale:

    https://www.crystalmountainresort.co...s-parking-pass

On-mountain parking can get complicated in the PNW
But with the A-Plus Parking Pass you can trade the slow-rolling “park here” queue for the slopeside parking lot convenience of A Lot. No shuttle rides, no gravel lots—and forgetting gloves or goggles will no longer require an journey through half the alphabet. Parking in A Lot is a privilege not a right—but if you do the runs-per-dollar-math it’s absolutely yes. You might get a few passive aggressive PNW stares when you cruise past—but standing at the front of the morning gondola line will be worth it every time.

Is this real? Wow, it literally looks like a spoof.

I wouldn't think of dropping that kind of dough without an express lane up 410 and the Blvd.

Wow, unreal. Somebody please inform the masses of a cheaper alternative when you forget your gloves and goggles. For a low cost of $17.95, you can go from walking across a parking lot like this:

Right?? "Tired of the slow roll clusterfuck up our meagre access road? Pay us $1000 for the privilege of...remaining behind the B-lot peons in our slow roll clusterfuck!"

Step 1: Give your customers traffic/parking PTSD from your gross mismanagement
Step 2: Manufacture a premium solution which in no way provides an actual solution to your manufactured problem
    Step 3: Profit!
