Jumping off a bridge without a chute, trusting that you can hold onto the guy with the chute and not get yanked when it inflates??
thats fucking insane deathwish shit
why does he bother wearing a helmet??

Every year Shane seems to scheme up new ways to ensure an untimely death for himself, and I think this is his best effort so far. Theres a difference between being ballsy and being stupid, and IMHO, this is erring on the side of stupidity.

I remember seeing some French bungee jumpers on a bridge in the Alps pulling a similarly mad move in the early nineties. They'd removed a section of railings from the sidewalk and one guy was standing on the edge with no chute or bungee, facing the road. The other guy was attached to a bungee with a chest harness and would run at him and as they went off the bridge would grab him. The weight of the pair of them would then extend the bungee and the unattached bloke would be dropped from a height of about 20ft into the river below.
Once his weight had been dispensed with, bungee man would then be catapulted back up the other side of the bridge, sailing about 40-50ft into the air. It all looked rather sketchy to me, but that's the French for you...

It definately cannot be considered a tradgedy when shane dies in the next few years....he is doing to many crazy things...
ill put my money on early rotation chute pulled and nearly tangled (like in yearbook) or this silly tandem stuff....you know he is gonna try tandem on skis....eventually with letting go about 70 feet up and trying late fronts and stupid shit...
oh well...fucking sick way to go out

He may die early (which I kinda doubt) but he'll die knowing how to spell "definitely."

Looks to be the Snake River Canyon at Twin Falls, Idaho.
That was just a funny stunt you guys. It's not like he'll be doing it all the time now.

Sure, that might be "sketchy", but you gotta do what you gotta do to score free Red Bull.
A lot of people earn their turns. Some just get bigger checks.

Shane is not destined for an untimely death, and he knows it. I told him.

We have a reseller in Jerome, ID and on a trip up there for a few days, we took a boat ride (with a ton of beers on board from said reseller) and the boat guide said we were in for a treat. "An athlete who pushed the limits of skiing will be jumping of that bridge this evening a few time". I immediately said to boat guide (reeked of safety meetings), McConkey? "Yep" he said and watched Shane jump 3 times.
I bet he will do it again and again and again. He loves that bridge.
I was not happy as I did not have my camera with me.
I want to see that in person! And he is nuts."boobs just make the world better really" - Woodsy

Office chair quarterbacks.
Remember when McConkey was labelled "reckless" for pulling backflips in-bound at Vail? Or when they said he was insane for mounting an old pair of Stinger waterskis with Markers?
Shane still thinks you're an ignorant sissy.*
*but I still think you're pretty
