Too big they don't taste good. So they say.

My kid worked the lobster pool at the local shack during his summers in HS. Every year someone would come in and buy one to set it free across the street. Nice thought until you look a bit deeper and see a thousand lobster pods floating right where you set him free.

Lobsters are freaky. They don't age, they don't get cancer and they never stop growing. For all we know there could be lobsters the size of the titanic out there. Their blood is clear. I think they're probably aliens.

Fresh Maine lobster ftw but you better have a good plan for swift disposal, preferably in someone else's dumpster.

Rolls with warm meat and buttered. Get the fuck out of here with that cold mayo bullshit.

Maybe in the oceanfront parts of Vermont.

Good god man, a lobster roll is a thing. What you are describing is not that thing. I mean I'm sure it's tasty and all but there are standards.

Straight-up boiled with corn and steamahs. And Sam Adams. Preferably the steamers I dig myself. Best enjoyed outdoors somewhere on the New England coast with a salty breeze blowing and Joe Castiglione calling a Red Sox game on the radio.

abalone > dungeness crab > lobster > king crab

I like warm lobster meat with butter but overall it is kind of tasteless compared to dungeness or the sweet buttery taste of abalone. Lobster is just more of a nice texture to eat butter with. Never had fresh kind crab but the ones I have had have awful texture

Never had abalone in my life, I thought it was like a big clam but it sounds more like some kind of meat?

Scallops pretty much kick everything's ass though. With the possible exception of abalone.

Touche. Sure you can smell the salt water from your waterfront house, but Cmon do they even have Maine lobsters in Massachusetts? I think not!

    Ewwww NO
    Cold lobster
Kiss of cold mayo - not too much
Little bit of celery salt + pepper
maybe a little bit of diced celery or lettuce for green crunch
THATs a lobster roll. That thing you describe is an aberration

Yeah, seriously. We all know that lobsters scrupulously obey state boarder lines.... Maine lobsters simply do not walk to Massachusetts because of the legal ramifications of their immigration status.

    fact.....

You can find American Lobsters from northern Canada to southern NJ.
