    WTB Skins

I just picked up some 333 Skis for my girlfriend, some touring boots, and some Dynafits at a local ski swap. I'm looking to pick up the last part of the equation with some touring skins to fit a 174 cm ski. Below are the ski dimensions:

    Length: 174cm
    Tip: 128mm
    Waist: 98mm
    Tail: 118

Please let me know if you've got something that will fit her skis.

    Thank you

Really can’t beat Sierra trading right now for skins. Many options in that length in 110-130 width for like $75.

While you’re shopping at STP get her some different skis too.

You might consider putting the skins on top of the skis before mounting the bindings. It should increase the durability of the 333s exponentially.

Get her some snowshoes for backup when the 333s leave her unable to finish the tour.

I bought the skis for $30. I've got a couple other pairs of much better skis for her, but SHE wants these. Unfortunately, I told her how the skis were made, and her inner hippie/environmental conversationalist was unleashed. There's no turning back at this point until she snaps them. In the meantime, I get to reserve a giant, "I told ya so," for when they do break. Anyway, it was only 30 bucks and she seems happy (for now).

On a positive note, the guy who actually had them custom made for himself (tiny dude), tracked us down as we were walking out with them and revealed they were maple cores. Hopefully they should be a little stronger than Michael's earlier skis. The guy said they skied fairly stiff, but then again I have a hard time imagining him breaking an eggshell by jumping up and down on it.

Anyway, some $30 skis made her happy for the time being and I get a future I told you so. Until then, I still need to track down some skin for her.

Over paid. But I might have some old skins to fit those dimensions. I'll check tonight.

Can you please photo document this adventure? A picture of the intact skis would be cool for a start.

That’s some pro-level relationshiping, stockpiling the I Told You So. Hopefully she survives the accident so you can actually use it. Although posthumous I Told You so’s are probably the most satisfying.

I will be impressed if he can include it in the eulogy.

    Rare find: UNBROKEN 333 Skis
Future "I told you so" photographed for later taunting.

Since the gauntlet has been thrown down, she doesn't know of the GSA... Perhaps I can turn her into my very own. I'm sure I could convince her the best way to break in her new touring boots is on a treadmill in full gear with forward and backward facing GoPros to monitor her strides.Name: 20191017_230734.jpeg

    ^^^Wow.

She seriously thought those looked... desirable?

Does her lack of a discerning eye ever concern you, considering, we’ll, you know... she finds you desirable?

^^^This guy’s asking the right questions.

Those are the fugliest skis I’ve ever seen in my life. I’d PAY $30 to get them out of my house. Have you considered spray paint and/or an exorcism?

It does raise questions indeed... She likes to topo map topsheets. I wonder if it's too late to submit an entry for the ugliest topsheet contest

I've got a bag of Marker Bindings that could go great with these as well.

Make sure she's clicked into the skis while walking the treadmill. Gotta work that whole stride. Spray cold water and hurl ice cubes at her to make it more realistic, too. #WorkhardPlayhard

I like what this “I want skins” thread turned into.
