    Boat Shoes, Loafers and Huaraches

This is the slip on stoke thread. Official rules, no flip flops or house slippers unless you are Tedski. We are trying to maintain a level of class and sophistication befitting Old Larry.

I went back to the 80's with a pair of Sperry's this spring. They've just reached the right fit after a summer of heat and foot sweat.

Lol, back in 6th grade I got the first pair of those when they came out - blue and neon green. So easy to roll your ankle in when playing flag football on pavement.

Bmills, the three eye boat shoe is an aggressive varsity move. I have a stable of 2 eye gold cups that will make an appearance soon enough. For now, home office huaraches will have to suffice.

I wore out two pairs of Sperrys in college, and that was wearing them everywhere almost every day and riding a skateboard to class. REALLY good top siders. Snagged a good pair a couple years ago for old time sake. Sorry, they are not yet properly seasoned. I keep forgetting I have them available.

Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!

Ya but next thing I'll be wearing golf shirts instead of Zorlac and concert shirts if I go there.. Goal is to dress like I dressed in high school instead of how I dressed in college..

Nice! Yeah, I love the Billfish Sperry but it’s strictly a summer shoe. I had to change to something more formal to meet the fam at the pizza joint.

    Boat Shoes, Loafers and Huaraches

I gave up tying shoes about 10 years ago. Except for dress shoes (wingtips-hardly ever wear) and my old hiking boots i have no usable laces anymore. It’s freeing.

I have this feeling that this thread is limited to preppies and other yuppie like establishment types.

Paul Sperry, founder of the boat shoe, was an avid outdoorsman, sailor, hunter and photographer who lived to a crusty 87 years old. That's decent company.

Born in New Haven. Taft School, Paris and a year at Dartmouth. Hmmmm. Sounds awfully preppie to me.

But hey, comfy's the word and thank goodness form fellates function.
