Neil Young & Crazy Horse had cameras rolling as they recorded their forthcoming album, Colorado, in Telluride earlier this year. Footage detailing the process of creating the first Neil Young & Crazy Horse LP since 2012’s Psychedelic Pill has been assembled for the documentary Mountaintop, which comes to theaters in North America for one night only on October 22. Young shared a trailer for the film.

Here’s a description of Mountaintop:

A raw and extremely unfiltered look at the process of Neil Young with Crazy Horse making their 1st album in 7 years. Witness the laughter, tensions, crusty attitudes & love of a rock & roll band that’s been together for 50 years as they share their passion, first and foremost… for the music.
“Captured for you in living color, this document is sure to run 92 minutes,” Neil wrote under his Bernard Shakey pseudonym on Neil Young Archives. “You may be surprised to learn some of the deep secrets of the process as you laugh your ass off in a theater near you. One night only and there is a reason for that.” Tickets for screenings of Mountaintop are on sale now here. Fans in South America and Europe will have a chance to see the film on November 18.
