RE downshifting when pedaling backwards, yes it's Shimano 11 speed.

Rear Derailleur and cassette are SLX, chain is KMC. New bike last fall, no real shifting issues so far (besides this) so I'll probably leave it for now.

I think that's the right move.

This is cross chaining on top of the chainring and cog without the benefit of proper positioning/tensioning by the rear derailleur, so your result is expected. There really is no adjustment for that and, IME, it happens more with shorter chainstay bikes and smaller (kids) bikes with adult-width rear wheels.

Just apply lube either when on the center cog (single chainring) or the one that gives the straightest chainline (multi-rings) and you should be able to spin backwards as fast as you'd like with no problems.

    Like he said.
Short chainstays + 1x drivetrain = high degree of cross chaining in lowest gear.
On the plus side, it'll all get better when the mass shift to 157 Super Boost comes. sigh

I can essentially trade my 2017 Knolly Warden Carbon straight up for a 2019 Yeti SB150. Tomorrow.

Is there any good reason not to do this?

My bike has a push coil shock, ibis carbon hoops beat up, working mans SLX/XT 12 speed, beat up DVO Diamond.

Yeti has alu DT swiss wheels, factory 36 with push coil conversion, GX eagle drivetrain, mechanic owned at local Yeti dealer. I just rode the thing, but couldn't really tell what rear shock that is.

only reason not to do it that I see is that you'll have to stop every 6 seconds next time you are in the front range of Colorado to bro out with the other yeti /don't say tribe/ folks.

Nope as long as bike mechanic dude will take care of warranty if frame breaks.

Shop dudes flip bikes yearly and barely have time to ride. Less beat than yours I'm sure

He hasn't registered the bike yet so I can register for the warranty.

It's got a couple nicks in the paint, but nothing major at all. My bike has been ravaged through like 15+ races.

Is that Brads bike or Shauns?
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

I’d do it for sure.... agree on the DPX2 as well. If you can register the frame and trade a bike you’ve beaten up for a couple of years I think that’s worth it alone.

Missing out on the carbon rims but you can always add those later.

I'm 95% gonna do the trade. Cheapest way I can see getting into this frame that isn't just a bare frame. Will immediately upgrade rear shock and wheels. The rest of the stuff I can slowly change or upgrade as needed, but at least this bike will be ridable.

" No Fine Print. No BS. All frames 2019 or newer, including the Switch Infinity link, are covered for life against damage due to manufacturing defects for the original purchaser. Paint and finish are covered for 1-year. We will repair or replace, at our discretion, any frame we deem defective. There are a few conditions: you must register it online at YetiCycles.com/registration and you must take it to an authorized Yeti Cycles dealer for processing. Warranty does not cover damage due to ordinary wear and tear, neglect or intentional destruction. Lifetime Warranty applies to all frames (2019 and newer). Model year 2018 and older frames will be covered under our previous warranty (5-year or 2-year based on time of purchase). Simple as that. No fine print. "

looks like warranty is for the original owner, looks like some fine print to me

The Yeti guy at the shop where I bought mine had the 5.5 then the 150 now one of the lunch rides

he sold the 150 off pretty quick, he said it was so fast that he worried about how fast he was goign

Although an 11-6 would match the front coil pretty sweetly

Already messaging with a guy with a basically new 11-6 for an sb150 on PB. 425lb spring. Not sure if too much spring for me. I am like 155-160ish geared up.

Is the leverage curve on an SB150 suited to a coil shock pretty well?

OK I am stuck in e*thirteen hell. Just bought an e*thirteen LGIR carbon wheel and hub for my Ibis. Turns out it has the 110x20mm adapters/ spacers. I have the 37mm 6805 bearings. Am trying to fit it onto a Pike.

    Here's the article from e*thirteen: https://support.ethirteen.com/hc/en-...tgIbI&solved=0

Any idea which spacers I need? Can I simply switch the current 15mm thru axle for a 20? Or does the Pike have Torque Cap compatibility?

No idea when my question to e13 will be answered.

Seems pretty straightforward. According to that article, you need HBS20-103 for the 37mm OD bearings you have.
I wouldn't deal with the whole torque cap thing.
