Why such a narrow and arbitrary length range?

One manufacturers 172 might measure the same as another companies 170, 175, or even 180. You need to be thinking about effective edge, contact length, rocker, camber, etc.

But you should jump on those Volkls.

I have some brand new, never mounted ON3P Kartel 116’s in a 176 that I’d let go for $500+ ship. Little more money than those Volkl’s but definitely a more playful ski also.

    Go fatter than 116 underfoot.

    178cm Majesty Lumberjack, 155/120/145
    $150 + shipping from Calif
    Used, but great condition.

The design is obviously a close copy of an O.G. K2 Hellbent, except lighter weight than the super-heavy Hellbent, and stiffer than the super-soft Hellbent.
Rocker tail like Hellbent (except stiffer)---so if you hate rocker tails, then don't buy this ski.
Super fun & pivoty. Too short for me, otherwise I’d keep them for sure.
A reviewer in the link below says it's similar to a Faction Candide.

    Shredditor 112 179cm w/ Z12 demos, IIRC.
    $350

[+1 to the Volkl Ones. If you like more stable, the V1. More playful, the Shredditor. I've got and skied both.]
