Does it still slide? Maybe just buy new AFD to be safe. Pivot thread has PNs

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

It slides but it also isn't jacked up with snow. Wondering if this is going to be an issue or not..... I saw that thread with the part number but I'm not exactly sure how to replace it. Sucks cause I want to mount these to new sticks soon.

I think the steps are easy:
    1. Buy AFD part (from Look/Rossi). I think they will ship you the whole plastic "foundation" of the toe---not just the tiny sliding white part.
    2. Unmount your whole toe piece. (unscrew 4 screws)
    3. Easy to swap the new "foundation" part into the toe piece.
    4. Screw the whole toe piece back into the 4 ski holes (for re-used holes, I prefer to drip epoxy into holes first).

That said, I know I would just ski it without fixing it. I think the types of ice I face in Sierra would break away easily whenever my 220 lb body takes a fall. Heck, Jester/Griffon bindings have huge open windows into the main heel springs, so clearly Marker doesn't think icing matters for heel springs.

Hmm, part of me was thinking to not be a pussy and just be core. The other part of me thinks knee surgery sucks balls if it doesn't release. Decisions.

The part list is in the PDF of the Look/Rossi technical manual, not on TGR.
Part number is FCEF003, they are $8.00 per pair according to last year's manual. You should probably have a shop order them for you.

Well look hasn't answered me. Apparently they don't know who they're talking to. May have to switch to Salomon bindings since customer support is crap for look. Ill have to speak to my local shop and hope they know what they're doing.

Yes, by all means switch to inferior product because they haven't called you back in the busiest time of year for them. Where are you? Most shops should have that AFD in stock, it's a 5 maybe 10 minute switch depending on how the height adjustment is set.

valid point, without the inflection of voice text loses something, i should realize that people are smarter than that yet i still see them claiming pin bindings work at the resort...
