    Good info to see.

I wonder if the numbers are the claimed angle or the actual angle?

According to this the RMU factory tune is a 2 degree base edge/1 degree side edge... I wonder if that's accurate or if they got it backwards.

You're right, RMU probably got it backwards.

I thought the same thing and emailed them again, they said "Oh yeah, were fun playful not carvy."

Claimed numbers according to product managers. As we know, there is a fair amount of variation in real life. Also, even the best maintained machines have a tolerance of around ± .2 degrees.

Interesting that Moment and ON3P are in the minority of manufacturers by going 1/1; most all mountain and powder skis seem to have at least a 2 degree side angle.

    Cool.
Is Salomon using variable angles or does their finish just suck? Look at those numbers!
    And 1.3? Da fuq?
    No longer stuck.

Was surprised the number of skis with base bevels above 1 degree now!

Have all my skis at 1/3 except for my Bibby’s. Bought them used from a person who adjusted them sharp tip to tail 1/3 with no detuning and they were very catchy. Put back to 1/1 and detuned above contact points like factory and they are great.

Salomon lists an "acceptable range" of bevels. The machine is probably set in the middle, i.e. 1.4 degrees.
