We finaly got legal weed in Smithers for the last month or so but haven't tried it yet

I'm not sure about legal vs black market other than black market is cheaper

any time you get the government involved it will be a cluster fuck and the cannabis file is no different eh

I'm still going thru a bag " Chuck " gave me at a folk fest, old guy/ ex-con/ always dressed in all black/ bedroom slippers and he was the head of security

Legalization sure has helped push the prices down on the black market product.

Legal retailers are now thick on the ground. No big deal, as it should be.

Yesterday afternoon saw pretty warm temperatures around Big white. Snowed top to bottom, but sad to see trees dripping almost all the way to the top.

Well all that wet snow firmed up really good. 8 cm of fresh on top made for some fun, fast turns!

I feel like I should spend more time here. All you old folks gota get on that social media bandwagon for the hottest condition reports! Speaking of hot. Yesterday up in Urus area things were cooking on the souths, temp crust exists below 1800m generally and i assume after yesterday that anything steep and solar will also have a crust, inverted temps all day. SH to size 5 right to the summit of urus minor so keep that on the radar! Asulkan is skiable even prior to last week end with okay skiing starting just below the tree triangle. Still room in connaught for turns, urus uptrack = hell. Have fun, here's some stoke!

Another refresh expected here this weekend. Truck goes in the shop tuesday, then the sled is loaded for the season. Last weekend for an extra whitetail in the freezer.

I have to head up to Salmon Arm around November 29 for my boys hockey tournament. Care to share any beta for possible day tours or any skiing to be had? Or direct me to somewhere to find that (website/shop/anything).

    Cheers
    Mike

No snow, no rain in 'Loops. Overcast sky, plus 3 at valley bottom with a stiff, cool sw breeze at ridgetop...of the sand pit.

Couldn't have asked for better weather or slope conditions to slay the highest quality, tailgate access sand turns south of the Skeena.

Even laid some chain in the smoothest, creamiest, silkiest, sensual skiing section of sand....damn...the feelz... Better than the rain crust over mank I was skiing up on silver star over the past week.

Checked out Kootenay Pass today. Found ~ 70cm base, reasonable early season coverage, a bomber crust under 5-10 cms of fluff, and snowing hard all day. Easy travel, mediocre turns, and good to be back on snow.
