Everywhere basically. Ankylosing Spondylitis. It's fantastic: my back and chest are always trying to collapse. My lower back is always stiff/hurts. My core strength has just disappeared this year. Somehow I have no spinal fusion so that's nice. Sometimes my knees hurt and the new thing is my foot can get a bit gouty.
Yes, I take medication to kinda keep it in check. Yes, I do other stuff for it. Yes, I can still ski and mountain bike. Yay!

I'm surprised it isn't lower. It's been named the happiest country in the world, and living there for a bit I can see why. The people have a great work/life balance, they love coffee, they're even tempered, and I really don't see any male checking out early and lose out on the chance to kill some russians if they ever try anything. They really don't like russians.

I know you’re kidding, but the fact that a stress-related condition is so common does have a certain correlative element with so many people so upset and desperate they can’t go on one more day.

I've read a couple interesting articles about suicide lately. The Pinkbike piece is more about mental illness and losing control of your brain (sent it to a friend who was going through this). The RS piece more specifically addresses the middle age American male. Both worth a look if you're having a tough time.
