2nd gen s&w 10mm's will probably handle 50,000psi or so without detonating in your hand... they're made out of chunks of solid steel. If the pressure were any higher, I'm thinking maybe a howitzer? Damned if I know. I reload a bit of 10mm, and with a 300gr pill you're going to be real tight on space for a charge if you keep the OAL down to something that is going to feed thru a semi auto.

You mean 3rd gen (I'm a big fan of 3rd gens).
I had a 1006, awesome gun, built like a battleship. Big fun at evening shoots - full house loads with Blue Dot made giant balls of flame. Everyone wanted to shoot that beast. Not much use for that monster though. Sold it and made some good $$$..

I thought this thread was about offing yourself with a rental gun, not custom builds and loads. Tech talk regardless amirite?

I’ve responded to two vehicle wrecks that was the result of the drivers offing themselves while driving down the road, Never understood why they didn’t pull over first

I had a friend in college who pulled over one New Year's Eve to help someone who appeared broken down on the shoulder of the highway. Dude shot him for no apparent reason then drove off.. Found the shooter down the road dead in his car. He was sitting there contemplating suicide when my friend walked up and asked him if he needed help I guess.

I had a good friend who committed suicide at a gun range. Used his own weapon and went out there early in the morning before they opened. I suppose he just chose that location because no one would be alarmed to hear gunfire there. It's been about a year and a half. Really miss that guy. He was a class act. Outside of terminal illness, there is just no way I can get my head around suicide.
