Looks like the exact spot where Black Magic got me as I tightened his cinch in the summer of ‘95. It felt like somebody grabbed an inch of skin with a pair of pliers. Yikes.

That's a spider bite, for reference.

The two small dots in the center look like a spider bite to me.

I got bit twice by a black widow one time after picking out a semi clean t shirt from my dirty laundry pile on the floor. I didn't see the thing but I knew what it was a few hours later. I could smell the latrodectin oozing from my pores while watching muscle tremors run down my arms and legs. The cramping went on for about 8 days.

Brown recluses are definitely not restricted to the area in the photo posted earlier in this thread. They can easily be distributed through cargo, luggage etc. and bites aren't uncommon throughout the country. If the skin at the bite site degrades and develops into a painful open wound go see a doctor. If not have a cocktail and a weed gummy and go on with your life.

Ya, regular readers will remember my spider bite pic above from mid June. I went to doc and left with a script for doxycycline. There's some scarring, otherwise it healed fine.

Shingles can be a lot of places. Ended up with them on my temple. The treatment is the same drug used for herpes so that’s been a fun conversation at my annual physical each year because gp nurses don’t actually read your file.

Fun shingles fact…they will only manifest on one side of the body.

I knew I could count on you guys to bring the LOLZ.

I've decided they are mosquito bites. Cleaned them up with Hibiclens. Appying Calamine lotion. Monitoring for West Nile.

    Glad it was "almost."

I was joking - no reports in our area but there's always a first time.
