The theater in Aurora, CO that had the Batman shooting will not be running this movie.

Lame.. If a real terrorist wanted maximum shock value they'd hit whatever the big Disney Movie release is Thanksgiving Day. This is probably just a smokescreen with the real target being something completely different, if in fact there is a real target at all.

Dumb fucking movie. More overly-serious, self-important, "mature", adolescent bullshit. The Joker makes no sense without Batman.

But a movie with Joker stalking and eventually nailing Bat Girl would have some traction with me.

Remember when they said Straight Outta Compton was going to make all of the black people riot and theaters started adding security on opening weekend? Yeah, that was dumb too.

That reminds me of back in the Tipper Gore days when people were freaked out that kids were committing suicide because of song lyrics. There was a quote going around to the effect of: if your kid kills themself because of listening to a song, the song isn’t the problem.

Not sure why they just don't install metal detectors and wand wielding security at screenings where they think they will have problems...

Cinemark chains have a "strict" costume policy, fwiw:
https://www.cinemark.com/about-cinem...ostume-policy/

Also, as far as I've seen there were 0 (zero) incidents at any of the many festival screenings of Joker (Venice, TIFF, etc.)

Also, look how that Area 51 thing fizzled out. The Internets, unfortunately, create a lot of hysteria and hype where there probably shouldn't be any (or just less)...

Venice?

Italy has sensible gun control laws though.

I don't recall hearing any hoopla surrounding the release of Suicide Squad, which featured The Joker quite prominantly...

No such thing as sensible gun laws without actual customs and border control of said "gun control" zone. Show me a first world example of failure where there is actual border control with all people and vehicles searched for contraband wen entering said first world gun control zone. A rule on the books with a sign posted over an imaginary line doesn't count as "gun control".. especially when there are huge stores selling thousands of guns right on the other side of that imaginary line with zero mechanisms in place to prevent people from ignoring said sign..

Right. Because arms dealers and smugglers pay attention to those types of things. Just like drug dealers.

Pretty sure heroin is illegal all over.

Considerably harder to hide an AR-15 up your ass. Although by all means, give it a shot.

And those dogs that smell... Guns?

Id imagine its also considerably difficult to shove a kilo up one's ass... Maybe not for you.

Regardless... Plenty of heroin and blow around. At least enough to kill more than AR15s do.

That's why you see ARs and AKs all over the UK and Western Europe... because they are so easily smuggled in..

Many of the weapons flow from Russia via the Balkan states into the rest of Europe including France. Russian firms manufactured the guns and supplied them to armed groups battling each other in Bosnia, Serbia, and Kosovo. When those conflicts ended in the mid- to late-1990s, the weapons remained—as many as six million of them, according to the Switzerland-based Small Arms Survey

Still not 350 million like in the US. Which is a whole separate issue that no one has a answer for.

But yeah. Laws dont work.
