Solar and or Renewable Energy
Is anyone working directly in the solar and or renewable energy industry?

I’d like to be involved in some capacity, not sure what yet.
To have a foothold in storage when some new technology breaks loose there would be awesome. Not sure if there’s any opportunities for that in CO. I’ve been poking around a while and not finding much in storage or wind.
There’s a ton of Solar companies that will invite you to come work for free for a few months, as in 8 hours a day 6 days a week, and then maybe you’ll get a few lucky breaks and start earning some realistic cash on commission. Such bullshit the industry appears rigged in that manner.
Partly just wanted to start a constructive thread about energy opportunities different than the mudslinging global warmings thread.
I’m volunteering for this Org doing PR

I do. I build large, utility scale wind and solar plants.

Those plants farm out power to Xcel, N1CK?
I used to go to NREL once in a while.

Solar and or Renewable Energy
I used to do a fair amount of financing for larger utility scale solar arrays. Seemed to always be a lack of sponsor/tax equity out there. So if you have millions to invest and need some tax credits....

I worked for Northern States Power, Xcel's predecessor, selling energy efficiency to the federal government and municipalities. I used to trip down to Golden to check in on where the solar tech was at in terms of life cycles for the payback calcs on anything we might do. Long time ago, when the first commercial panels started failing, so the improvements made then were meaningful for life cycle improvement.
You an engineer/project manager?

I work in wind. Just a lowly blade tech, but you can live anywhere and you don't really need to work during the winter so I'm surprised more skiers aren't doing this.
