Thinking I may go with some Fischer Ranger 102 FR (136-102-126 R18) but still open to opinions coming off of some 2013 184cm Volkl Katana's (143-112-132 R25.8).
I mostly ski on powder days at Snowbird (Upper Silver Fox, Wilber Bowl, Baldy) but still want a ski that is fast and stable on groomers for the non power days. I'm 5'11" and 150 lbs. Looking to downsize just a bit and go to something closer to 100-105mm in width, 180 cm in length, and 15-20 meter turn radius. Thanks!
Thanks!

Good choice. From your picture you look like a Fischer guy. They'll be perfect.

To go with the new skis. Nice.
Now, boots and other gear. How are you set up for that?"timberridge is terminally vapid" -- a fortune cookie in Yueyang

Also thinking of some new boots, currently have some 2008 Salomon Falcon Race boots. Looking for a lighter tech boot in a 120 ish stiffness, something like the Ranger Free 120 but does not have to be Fischer.

I feel like we should discuss poles also. And probably baskets.

What are most people using for poles at Snowbird? Something adjustable, for when its packed out and for the deep powder days?

How has nobody suggested either kartel 108 or Deathwish? Both are super fun and you don’t have to fly to get it out of them.

Does ON3P still make the Kartel 108? Looked at the ON3P Woodsman 108 which I liked. The Deathwish "might" be a bit on the big side...Moment Commander 108 looks fun.

Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?
So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....
Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Don't discount the 4FRNT MSP107, an excellent directional choice for LCC.
For ski poles i have 2pr, small basket for non-pow days, and big baskets for 8"+. Just like 99, 107, and "plus size" skis in the truck.
