    Help Robb Gaffney

Just seeing this. Sent some monetary support. Feel I owe the guy for entertaining me with his cinematic exploits. Chimney sweep!
Wish him and his loved ones the best.

    You can help

You can help support him and his family by donating...

    Rally for Robb Gaffney
Robb was diagnosed with a rare bone marrow cancer known as Myelodysplastic Syndrome with Blasts. He has a high-risk version which has left him dependent on transfusions of red cells and platelets in order to stay alive.

Small clarification: full siblings (with the same parents) have a 1:4 chance of being a full immune blood type match, 1:2 chance of being a half match (which is enough for a transplant) and 1:4 chance of not matching at all.

But it seems Gaffney has good unrelated matched donors available, which is a good thing.

I'm sorry about your wife; it is a long tough road to travel, but Gaffney has a potentially curable condition.

And if any of you aren't potential donors yet, sign up now - you could save someone's life at minimal risk and only mild inconvenience to yourself. Signing up is trivial, easily done, and does not commit you to donating if you are chosen as a potential donor.

It's been awesome to see some of the newer photos they posted on the FundMe page. Can see that some of that fire in his eyes.

Other than what's on his donations page anyone know how Robb is doing? From the last update near the end of January, sounds like he is keeping strong and doing well.

Still wishing him all the best especially with current events.

This latest hit my inbox this morning via Mountain Gazette…

Robb is not one to ask for help - he feels eternally indebted to those who already have. But after nearly four years without work, kids in college, and his family facing a highly uncertain next chapter, he is open to those who wish to support them.”

Having just finished six months of chemo myself about 8 months ago, I can attest to the financial hardship being out of work. My sister started a GoFundMe against my wishes and raised enough to cover year 1 of deductibles and out of pocket costs. While it felt embarrassing it was so helpful in a small way to ease some financial burden and try to focus on staying alive.

Small donations add up. This dude seems worth all that and more.

Will be forever proud to rock this 1999 gear.

By FAR my favorite ski movie ever made.

My VHS fell apart, just like my first copy of Squallywood.

So much gratitude for the brothers Gaffney.
    Still waiting...

    You got it, amigo.

    Someone posted 1999 as well...

Sometimes I stand at the top of KT and say "I get to go ski that over there..."

What a scene... Justed watched it again... With the Doctor just slaying The Gate, and even soaring off Rocket Man. Those are lines you don't get to see very often.

Thanks again for all that righteous stoke... Shirts and poster purchased, and spreading the word to those who know.
    Still waiting...
