WTB: your old quill 25.4 stem

I'm rebuilding a 1995 Gary Fisher Marlin as a gravel/townie bike but the 145mm stem is just stupid long. No shops around here carry old parts and I won't be getting to Burlington to stop in at the Old Spokes Home for quite some time.

Anyone have a rise/upright quill stem in the 50-70mm range for 25.4 bars that's taking up room in the parts bin?

Do you have an extra threadless stem that takes a 25.4 bar? (Or a 31.8 and reducer) If so a reputable brand quill stem adapter is less than $20.
Or are you trying to go for the original look?

2nd on threadless adapters. Best of both worlds.

If duder doesn't have what you need I can take a look, I have some quill stuff kicking around.

PM me if you strike out. I'd be very surprised if I didn't have any in the stem box. If I haven't cleaned it out, which I don't think I've done recently.

I have this, strongly suspect it’s one I took off an 88 specialized stumpjumper.

Seems like the collective has you pretty well hooked up but who do you know in Burlington that comes to the next town over every stinkin' weekend?

My wife still has a ~96? GF Marlin. Just a coincidence.

    PM sent to Falcon

Ill advised - that is for the offer and pics. I can’t quite tell but that looks to be about 100mm which would still be a bit long.

beece- I’ll hit you up if Falcon doesn’t have anything that works. Thanks.
