Looks like a nice boat at a good price and maybe an easy fix if you find the right mechanic. I bought an '84 Offshore in '86 for $16,000 with no hours because the owner got seasick, It was a great boat but underpowered with a 230 Mercruiser, I had intended to repower with a 5.7/Alpha package and sell the 230 and MR drive to a customer but never did. The Gulfstream is a great boat and being a foot wider somehow feels bigger than the Offshore.

For reference, here is an updated and repowered Gulfstream for a lot more money.

    Grady Whites are awesome!

We had the 24' Grady White offshore before this boat. The 23' is a much bigger boat. Swim platform, bracket, motor and bow pulpit are all outside of the 23'6" LOA so it measures more like a 28'.

I'd assume you are dropping 22gs on a brand new 300 and hope you get lucky if you are mechanically inclined.
