Yeah Ice, that's a nice boat. I just did 770 miles from Florida up to Moorehead City helping my parents move there boat. It's nice with AIS now that you can gawk at boats before you even see them.

Redneck Riviera for sure. Lots of giant offshore boats on display on a midwest lake every weekend in the summer.
What's the point of having 4 outboards so you can sit at anchor in a waterway too crowded to move? (Don't bother telling me. I know the answer.)
And how many motors can you put on a boat before it goes to the bottom stern first? (That one I don't know the answer to.)

Meh- I get it. Inboard diesel mechanics are getting tough to find. They all get top dollar working in many different fields.
You can basically steal an inboard gasser these days. They get such bad gas mileage compared to the diesels.
Nobody wants to work on I/Os down here anymore. Too hot to work in those cramped conditions.
42 ft center consoles need a ton of power to go 50+ knots. It's either quad/ 5 400's or 2 or 3 7 Marine outboards.
If you can get 1/1 on your GPH, you are doing pretty well.

I saw something similar to this a couple months back. Complete with belly, gold swordfish chain, and strippers. Douche bags gotta douche.

Gotta admit- it was a beautiful boat, if you are into floating phallic symbols.
This is a 2016 for $695,000. Those Merc 400 Racing engines are super expensive.

Yamaha just released their 450, so I expect to be seeing a lot of those soon.

Ice- you have great taste in boats.

That is my game- my buddy is a Yamaha Tech. I am just waiting for the call. He is in South Tampa, land of Mo' money than sense. They swap out low hour 350's for the newest 400 or 425 all the time. When my 2005 Mercs finally give it up, he is my first call.

There is a growing trend in Express Cruisers going to multiple outboards. Better fuel economy, easier to fix, shallow draft, and easier to upgrade. All you lose is the rear swim platform that an inboard gives you. MJM is one of the leaders in this trend.

I hit 53 mph the other day. On water, that is a hell of a thrill. The 53 GPH readout, not so thrilling. Throttle back.

In recent Jon Olson vlog he was heading to his future sick pad in Bali (I'm still astounded how he turned skiing and partying into such an empire) and one of the water taxis has like 8 outboards or something nuts lol.

Are outboard motors the new disposable razor blades?

I suppose it bests rolling around on a razor scooter. Maybe. I only said it was overrated, like a MLB game. I didn’t go as far as saying it sucks
