    Name this Mtn Range

I saw this photo on Facebook, and it was labeled "Alps Mtn".

I am not sure I have ever seen a mtn in the Alps that was holding snow like that.
That sure looks like something in the Chugach, or somewhere in AK.
Maybe it is NZ, and they meant the Southern Alps?

Is the Matterhorn that steep? Would it hold snow in spines like that?

Random, but I really want to figure this out.

nothing like that near courmayeur. The Matterhorn is that steep but doesn't hold snow like that.

The Lyskamm, east of Zermatt, on the Monte Rosa looks a little like that, maybe not as many flutes:

That said, I'd guess that picture is the BC coast range.

Yeah, that is what I would expect a mtn in the Alps to look like, visible rock with chutes, not snow spines like that 1st picture. I am pretty sure that photo was not taken in the Alps.

Damn, nice work. My gut told me it was AK, and I claimed it on FB. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't totally full of shit.

I linked that article onto the comments on that photo. I am sure there will be repercussions, since 60 or so people commented without catching it.
