I really liked Buzzy as a host and didn't like him much at all as a contestant.

That's another reason to find her annoying. Both her sitcoms were annoying. While maintaining a religious practice is laudable, fundamentalists are inherently annoying.

I guess I'm not a fan, but I like how they've rotated guest hosts through it.

I think I'm still rooting for Jennings to get offered the gig, but I think most of the guest hosts have been solid.

on Monday’s game by husband said, “oh Blossom is hosting this week”

I think she’s done well so far- a bit robotic so she could loosen up a bit and hopefully she does by the end of next wk as most guest hosts seem to get more comfy in the role

Heard on the radio (not sure of their source) but so far of all the guest hosts, and the source stated that Mayim Bialik was the favorite and highest ranked so far. But a Google search shows other sites that have Mike Richards as the highest and Ken Jennings on other lists. Mayim Bialik 2 week run of course is not over yet. So some may have not updated their surveys. Here is one listing.

I always call her Blossom too

There’s a ton of PR spin going on as everyone’s agents try to position them. The show as well. It is all super annoying. I like Blossom. I think Levar will be pretty good too. But the next host should still be Ken. And def better not be Mike Richards

It's funny how the lists are all over the place, just like people's preferences here (except I think we all pretty much agree it should not be Oz or Richards). I like Bialik a lot as host. I was originally a Ken Jennings proponent but I'm waning on that- let him do The Chase and all that- can probably make more money with less work anyway.

The schedule for the guest hosts is published and out there. Next up is Savannah Guthrie, from NBC The Today Show.

Here is the full listing so far: https://www.jeopardy.com/jbuzz/news-...-host-schedule with it looks like Levar (and others in July and August) are only getting a 1 week hosting after Dr. Sanjay Gupta listed as the last of the 2 week hosting spots.

And if you want to vote (not as far as I can tell an official poll since it is a Microsoft site so may not matter at all in their decision: https://www.msn.com/en-us/tv/news/th...en/ar-BB1eUQnX

Not sure about that. The Jeopardy! hosting gig has got to be one of the greatest jobs there can possibly be. I suspect the work schedule is something like 50 days per year with several months off entirely. I think there are 46 weeks of new shows per season. On normal shooting days they get an entire week of shows in the can in a single day. Figure the tournament schedule is slightly different and probably a couple days for promos and other miscellaneous stuff, and 50-60 days per year is probably a good estimate.

I thought he was good as well. Calm, clear and did a good job of keeping things moving. Tough with the current champ who starts every question with "What is", even when it's a person. I find that (and him) off putting.

LeVar trying too hard. Trying to show more personality than the other guest hosts, but the show isn't about the host. It was only in the last few years that Alex became a celebrity--mainly due to longevity, cancer, and losing the porn stache. Sorry if that offends anyone.
Rodgers just signed a one year contract with GB so I guess he's out.
BTW didn't the winner guy get Noriega right? or was he too late? Or didn't phrase as a question? Too lazy to watch it again.

Where did he sign a one-year contract? He is in the middle of a 4 yr contract already and just showed up for camp today to end any rumors of not playing.

I thought Robin Roberts did a nice job. LeVar seems a bit tight on Monday, but hopefully he'll loosen up a bit as the week progresses.

I felt bad for that guy. I think it was more bad luck than him being terrible.

Have to say that I was listening to more of the show than actually watching it on Monday. He did OK, but it was not until the final that I was in front of the TV and saw he was the guest host (did not pay attention to the list recently).

Savannah Guthrie I think did a good to better than average job, then shortly after her they moved into the 1 week rotations. Was not a big George Stephanopoulos fan, but will be interesting to see what the discussions and announcements are for the upcoming Fall season.

Certainly more discussions and "voting" https://www.usatoday.com/story/enter...oz/6979413002/ and certainly hope their leading contender with an inside track so to speak is not the new permanent host.

How many of the guest hosts want the permanent job and how many did it for fun?

That is an unknown- some may have done it for their charity also of course since each day their charity they chose got the daily pay out of the winnings matched as a donation.

Some have said they are too busy with too many other "jobs" (I think Anderson Cooper was one that has CBS News, and of couse daily on CNN. He has done other TV shows as guest host also in recent years. Live with Kelly and Ryan)
