Apparently they've got episodes taped to air through Christmas. It will be strange to watch knowing Alex is gone.

Went to repeats yesterday so guessing that’s the end of new Alex episodes? I still can’t believe it- like a close family member passing. have watched just about every night for the past couple decades (and even when we go on vacations we laugh about having 2 weeks of jeopardies when we get home.
but also tonight’s contestant, Lizard, I think said “shoot the wad” for the double jeopardy. is that acceptable now? lol

Nope, there's one more week of Alex's episodes. They will air the week of January 4th.

I too wondered when last night was a what looked like a pretty Young Ken Jennings was on in our area. Everyone including Ken missed the final Jeopardy question, but Ken had enough of a lead and did not bet much money.

So 2 weeks of reruns- 12/21- 12/25 and then 12/28- 1/1 and then another week of Alex with the last of his new shows taped this fall?

Dish network is fighting with the local station that carries Jeopardy, so no Jeopardy for the past 4 weeks and counting. Sucks to miss the last episodes

reminds me of the the time I was interviewed on local TV news about some potentially missing kayakers (they weren't as it turned out) and I talked about what I saw "while I was out on my morning constitutional"- my friends laughed their asses off when they saw that, but dammit before it meant a morning dump it meant a morning walk!

My niece appeared on Jeopardy last week
She won and was able to be a returning champion
She was sworn to secrecy about her episodes and had a very hard time dealing with the loss of Alex

I've been watching
the best Christmas gift i got this year was a personalized Jeopardy mug. sipping my coffee from it now.

Just saw the announcement that Katie Couric will be the new Jeopardy host
I haven't quite digested it yet not a bad choice.
I thought it was going to be Ken Jennings for sure bc he's been apologizing for past insults on twitter etc lately

What I heard is that Couric will be the next interim host after Jennings. I don't think they'll make a decision on a permanent host until after this current season ends.

I'd think she'd do a good job and I can imagine there'd be some pressure to install a woman as the permanent host.
