I had a 2002 Chevy 2500 HD work truck with over 300,000 miles. 6.0 gasser, I miss that rig. I drove it all over Montana and in the park, in all weather conditions and it never let me down. I still see it driving around town so it's still racking up the miles, and for a construction rig, that's pretty amazing.

I have a ‘96 Toyota Tacoma xcab. Just turned over 361k. I put on 296k of that. Really want to break 300k. Bought it for $9000 in 2000, and it was the best money I’ve ever spent.

Still use it daily for almost everything except leaving town or car pooling kids. Perfect surf vehicle. If you don’t like the waves, you cc an just hop in and drive without taking off your wetsuit. Even better for beach days with my kid. No need to rinse off all that sand. But we do anyway.

Nice, I hit 300,000 miles a year ago exactly. 2002 tacoma prerunner. Somewhere around 325k right now. Bought it in 2010 at 97k for 12,500 all in. Couldn't ask for more considering all the fire roads I've taken it on.

Geez, I thought getting my 97 Chevy S-10 up to 170k was doing well, even though I only put 50k of those miles on myself. Bought it for 5k and sold for 3k, so it was decent value at least. Pretty sure it's still cruising around socal somewhere. Those S-10 4 bangers won't ever die.

I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

LOL at the numbers in here. I've mentioned this before here (and just spent some time unsuccessfully looking for the pic of it at 888,888) but we had an ~07 Yaris at work, last I saw it was at ~938 ish

I remember when hitting 100K with some major tranny and/or engine work was considered really good... and often on the third exhaust system. Then Hondas totally disrupted that perception of quality cars.. "Murika!"

With the big stuff like timing belts kept up, 200K's still where I draw the line for a road trip vehicle. Daily work driver or grocery getter, anything running is fine..

Well now. I have a 2001 Toyota Camry Solara convertible that Bobby S is insanely jealous of. (and why wouldn't he be?) that is my daily beater. Just a few miles shy of 230k at present. determined to make 300k.

And if your really sweet Bobby, I'll let you sell it for me then.

    Wink.

My neighbor's daughter has a Solara pushing 275K miles, owned since new. Her partner has been through three Durangos in that time. She could easily afford a new vehicle, but loves the car and wants to drive it until it won't go anymore.

I've got a 2007 Grand Cherokee getting ready to roll 200k (198xxx currently) and it still has an active bumper to bumper manufacturers warranty (lifetime, unlimited mileage)

Just sold my 04 4Runner. 200k and never burned a drop of oil. 15 years of midwestern winters was causing issues with frozen bolts however.

Irv Gordon's (RIP Irv) P1800 holds the record. Not sure if it's still in active use now that Irv isn't driving it anymore.

How much did the guy/gal pay for service every year? Has it been worth it?

That's a lot of miles but he did rebuild the engine once and then put another new one in. Any idea for most miles on an original engine? He got to 700k on the first.
