FS Scarpa Freedom Freeride Boots 28.0 Cheap!
$75 + shipping. Admittedly, these boots have quite a few days on them, thus the price. I actually keep track of the days on my gear (NERD!) so these have exactly 128 days on them - I only skied them 8 days last season. Liners are Scarpa branded Intuition Pro Tours (280) that were designed for Maestrales with only 1 bake on them and only have 42 days on them. No funk. No mods to the shells.
BSL is 317mm. These have the DIN sole blocks...I have the Tech sole blocks that are virtually brand new (one 1/2 day tour on them) but if you want both, the price goes up by $40...they're something like $60 on Scarpa's website.
I did a fair amount of frame binding touring on these. Are they heavy? Yes, when compared to rando race boots but lighter than standard alpine shoes. Do they have an awesome ROM? No but better than alpine boots with a walk mode. Do they ski like a racing boot? Not really - they probably have a 110 flex rating but in soft snow, they ski great for me (6'0", 185lbs). I'm quite the salesman, eh? Still, they worked well for what I wanted...a mix of touring ability with a focus on downhill performance in soft snow conditions as well as a daily driver for all but the iciest of days. They're more than adequate boots and are pretty darn comfortable for my feet (fairly wide - 101mm - forefoot, fairly low volume instep and flat feet arch).
Bottom line - really decent boots in pretty good shape for a very low price - the liner is probably worth the price of the whole package.
