What’s your departure airport?
I would often book multiple destinations on Southwest, then pick the most promising, the day of departure.-

Probably won't rain in Jan. You can take the bus or hitch up LCC/BCC, don't be that guy clogging up the canyon in a 2wd rental car. A few hotels in Sandy that aren't far from the bus. The bus is a shitshow on the weekend if it dumps though.
