A little off topic, speaking of vehicles that will probably break down in the middle of nowhere but shouldn’t, apparently, the new defender is out. Doesn’t sound like an 8 cylinder, though.

My v8 land cruiser got a new generic high flow muffler recently. the oem muffler blew out through a rusty patch. It sounds pretty cool with the new muffler but sounded awesome with the holey one....

Damn. That diesel mustang is insane.

Not a v8, but in the same idea as the v10 dyno run above.... How about a modern Porsche Cup car with sequential gearbox.... sounds awesome... then he really steps on it!

I drove it for a few months then got orders to Iran so I sold it for the same $200. Had vinyl seats which a previous owner had painted with latex house paint, using a brush. Also had air-shocks so you could jack the rear end way up in the air. Total POS.

My second car was in 1979 when I got back from Iran. This thing was badass, a 1971 Mustang BOSS 351. I think that is the only year they made it. Only real problem were the mechanical lifters that needed to be adjusted every 15K. 351 Cleveland with a 4-speed on the floor. What a great time to be a young man. I don't remember what I paid, I do remember that I got a loan from the bank and my payments were $25 per month. This photo was the same green color as mine, looked exactly the same as mine.

My cousin had the same car, same color in the early 90s. Burned a lot of tires off that thing.

It's a wonder it didn't just explode into powdered rust when you hit the gas.

Nice. Are those the family bars too, or did the roll bar come like that in '55.
Come to think of it, did it even come with a roll bar in '55?
