Icer Air - San Fransisco
Anyone else remember this or go to it?
I went in 2006 and it still looks sketchy as fuck today.
Fun fact: My buddy and I randomly sat behind Erik Roner and we heckled him about his back tattoo.

And I thought I was about to learn about a new discount airline. Silly me.

Can't believe the snowboarder at 0:50 couldn't clear the knuckle.
I remember this thing--was this where they originally wanted to do it on a street in SF or something? Can't remember if I saw it in a ski movie or something, but I do remember it. I'm sure it was posted about on here.[quote][//quote]

This is coming (or the same jump that was at Fenway) to SunTrust Park this December.
Yes, SunTrust Park in ATL.

I missed the original one where Jonny Mosely shredded down a snow covered Fillmore Street overlooking The Marina.
At the time I was working as the Music Editor at IGN.com.
I tried to convince my boss to let me go.
HIs answer was "You're the music guy, this is a sporting and videogame event." (Mosely was promoting some skiing videogame at the time).
My reply: "But, dude, I'm the only editor/writer in the office who actually skis."
So, they sent the two sports editors instead, neither of whom had ever set foot on snow in their lives.
In hindsight I should have stressed the game's soundtrack and that I needed to see the skiing action live to get a complete grasp of the in-game music.
Oh well.
I went to one or two of the ones they held at the Giants ballpark downtown, but I thought they were kind of lame, I mean how do you top them flying in enough snow to cover Fillmore Street?

How long did it take to put that thing together? That’s an obscene amount of scaffolding.
Charlie, here comes the deuce. And when you speak of me, speak well.

I went to this one. Missed the Fillmore Street one.
IIRC, the jump wasn't built well and they almost didn't have a net in place, which would've been really bad. Something about the in-run not being long enough for lighter skiers. Chatter on the old Tahoe thread about it from around that time.

The best in SF was in Pacific Heights. It was too warm and the snow was slow, but...pretty fun to watch.
