...If nothing else, I've got a few hours of interneting lined up to dial in next years adventure. I feel uncomfortably privileged to be able to say that if I don't run out of money by then, I'll be out Mountain Lodge in 2021. This virus bullshit has help me refine the good people/shit bag list. If Buster says they are good peeps, they are good peeps.

Safe travels home and thanks for a few bright spots in a pretty dark time.

Having spent time at Mtn Lodge, and enjoying Vendul's most gracious hospitality, Mtn Lodge is in the top 10 list of places "to be stuck at." If I had arrived there just before COVID-19 shut down the world, I would be enjoying great ski tours every day and then some good food.....

Bravo everyone, Bravo! Watching this thread and the whatsapp with great anticipation. So many highs and lows for me taking this in from my couch.
Sadness from not being able to make it this year, seeing the scramble due to travel restrictions at the beginning, lift closures etc.
Then great elation to see the crew over come and slay corn, eat amazing food and drink with new and old friends. Again, Bravo!
Thanks for the most excellent pics Shroom!
Shooting for next year, lots going on here so we will see.

So different than the first year I'm guessing. Looks completely legendary. Helluva a life story -- getting stuck in a little bit of Italian-hospitality eden, in the heart of the swiss alps, with a bunch of ski fiends and interesting folks.

Hope to make it back there next year. It's special.

Got back last night; now quarantined in the sunroom of our house.

Overall, this was a great trip mostly because of the people who so graciously and spunktaneously dealt with adverse scenarios and wrought a big wad of blast high in Graubünden.

This year, with one good pow day at Klosters/Davos, we all pushed ahead to explore a bunch of that small. flat ski area (sarcasm, folks) with Nordekette leading the charge to squeeze virgin corn runs at Jakobshorn and collectively max out the incredible train connections where we'd ski from Parsenn/Klosters to Jakobshorn and back in a day.

The snappy patter and bon miscreant banter maintained a high level thanks mostly to carvehard and his array of hysterical youtube choices.

The week at venduls mtlodge_sedrun was just awesome, dealing with the shutdowns and planning around that adversity by, as Foggy has said, climbing up high and hitting huts (while they were open), skiing down to villages and walking back to the trains. The wildest part was leveraging the cog railways to augment skinning ascents ranging from several 250m climbs to some around 900m each day.

    It's such a gas.

My sun scorched face tells the tale of the best corn skiing stint over a week that I've ever had. vendul really shone with tour suggestions and especially taking us on a drive after a day of touring to go check out the Lukmanier Pass area seasoned with iconic Swiss hamlets, massive dams and another huDge secret skier resistant tram.

Thanks to the k00ks who joined and a call out to those ugly mugs who couldn't make it this year and especially condolences to those who got shut out.

So, whose in for next year? Dates? Options? Destinations?

Can anyone top carvehards twisted youtube feed?

Badhus, headwaters of the Rhine, over red pants vendul in the distance.

I'm glad to think I provided some fun craziness to counteract the virus craziness.

Two months ago, en route, fresh off the plane in the Zurich airport train station.

    Seems like longer than that.

No tats on me, just basic ugly.

Swissrail reimbursed my 4 day pass, provided I claim it within a year from April.

Looks like vendul has been having a pretty dope season over there. Can't wait to get back.
