OK, the consenseless is March 10-20 2022.
I'm going to pencil that in, with a short stop in Klosters before roosting https://www.mt-lodge.com/ .
If it's in the cards, I'd love to spin a day around St. Moritz again too.

I was just thinking about this trip and wondering if it would happen. Broke my leg in the backcountry a week before leaving last year and then everything went South. I would very much like to try again.

Penciling in mar 10 week on calendar. Been wanting to partake of this annual tradition for a while now, given the hudge amt of time I’ve spent in Thusis/Flims/Lenzerheide area, but I always had homeland family obligations going on.

Putting the March 10th date on the calendar. Will look at adding at least 5 days on one end or the other, but we shall see.

You still on broken bindings? Or did you never come back from “The Dark Side”? It’d be cool to have another telllywhacker in the group

Was just gonna PM you L. Yes we are still tele for lift served, and sidecountry pow days, but for real touring we’ve gone AT.

Plus a day across the road at Lagalb.

Flights have dropped in price, thankfully.

God that was fun last year.

Piz Palü is a great tour, but not necessarily for its skiing, the real skiing is from a little less than 3800 to 2300, very very popular and with easy logistics which it means a lot of tracks... but the views are awesome

Did that tour (and a couple others in the Diavolezza/Lagalb area) with Cyrille Boinay, Glisseur and skinnyskier many years ago, such a fantastic place.

Awesome, indeed. Plus we were lucky to get first tracks after a storm.

All righty, so instead you'll lead us on the traverse from Lagalb to Livigno?

The only section not skiable in the 35 km between Disentis and Hospental is the connection in Andermatt between Natschen and the Gemsstock which is covered every 15 Swiss minutes by a variety of jitneys. The trains connect everything in the picture and are included on the lift ticket.

venduls place is there between Dieni and Sedrun in Rueras.

If you die with $5K in the bank that's one less ski trip you should have taken

    fify.

I think a bunch of folks are on the same page for March 10-20, 2022.
It would be great to be able to rent out all the rooms at mt-lodge, so vendul and his missus can ski with us.
That would make a few side trips to St. Moritz or Lenzerheide or renting vans worthwhile, guided by vendul.

If anyone want to start the thread, feel free.

Pencilling it in as well, Mrs SL and I.

Thinking about having Nana SL there to watch baby SL.

    Think that would work?

Sure. mt-lodge is super comfy with a nice family like room with couches and stuffed chairs next to the big dining table. There's great walking along the road too with killer views. Nana could even hop the train.

Your only obstacle will be getting on and off the trains; a rolling ski bag really helps there.

Perfect, hauling skis internationally always sucks!! Does Europe have ski bag shipping similar to Japan? For like $80 bucks my skis were delivered to my hotel directly from the damn airport.

    Viva la Yamoto.

SBB has a station to station service for 12 chf a piece. It’s like traveling by plane, you board your equipment and pick it up at your last station. ( the morning after)
