Chicago Mags- O’Hare to Union Station:Tight Time Frame. How screwed am I?

Alright guys here’s the deal: Scheduled to land at 5pm at O’Hare this Friday. Have a 6:40 train out of Union Station to South Bend. The Internets have time ranging from 45-90 minutes estimated from O’Hare to Union Station.......What say the Chicago collective? Totally doable or totally fucked? Mrs. Seano is freaking out already......

Hopefully not checking a bag and sitting in the front of the plane. If everything goes smooth with no delays *ohare cough* it could be done.

Not checking bags. Is it quicker to get to Milennium than Union on the CTA?

Yeah it's steep if you don't have miles to cash in, but sanity is worth something. Have a good plan B.

The google says it’s 114 mile drive. Why not rent a car?

You’re fucked...”scheduled” is relative at O’Hare, you could have a 25 min taxi once you land.

Maybe rent a small car and just return it once you get to SB, that can’t be more than $75 for the 3-4 hour rental

Book a room in DTown, Have a nice relaxed evening. See what your traveling options are for the next Day. Chicago is very nice to visit this time of year. I recommend Greek Town. To add Rush Hours on Friday? It is not happening, Exclamation Point

This country could and should have a functional rail system. Other countries do and they do it well. I much prefer the ease of rail travel over airplanes.

What if the train was delayed because of a suspicious package call?
