WTB Sub 170cm true powder ski, 120mm+, Protest ideal!

    What have you got????

    Mounted or flat.

Not beat up. Itís a gift for a friend. Sheís a chick but a strong skier.

I remember there being a 168cm protest? That would be perfect.

    But would consider anything similar.

    Cheers!

My wife skis bigger than you. Whatís your size?
Sure you can handle more length and a bit narrower. That will probably do you better

Theyíre not for me. There for a friend. She has 4-5 pairs of skis but nothing truly fat. We had a 29Ē day here in Sun Valley and skiing our trees needed something huge.

Depending on her weight realize that she might not need to go as big as you might think. My wife is 5í5Ē and 110lbs. On Wailer 112ís in a 168 she floats WAY better than I do on 186cm Renegades, 190 Bibbyís or Line Pescadoís. Iím 170lbs so more than 50% more than her weight.

Think float but also think about Ďliftí a 140mm wide tip of a powder ski creates lift when itís moving. The shorter length of womenís skis doesnít offset the amount lift you get for a given width. For smaller people you can scale down what dimensions are deemed adequate, also donít go to long... Iíve done that a few times.

Well the main problem is few make the really true powder shape short. I donít disagree with you. But thereís no 160 lotus 138ís!! A chick length 128 would be awesome.

I see, this context matters. Canít think of something in those dims. Protest ski somewhat shorter.
For my wife I started getting shapes more conducive to her style. She smears down the hill. Moved her into full reverse or flat underfoot for 3D snow and it has been a game changer. She has camber 85s for low tide. BC Daemon birdie 176s [99] and Billy Goat 179 [116] tour flex. The running contact length matched the outgoing camber models she had. The new shapes all 5-7 cms longer.
What about Nocta 177 for your friend? She either rips and can justify 5 pow boards or she canít
