What a bummer. She was a badass.

Sucks. I thought she was a bad ass chick and she did well for herself. RIP

She reminded me of a woman I worked with when I first out of college. Smoking hot welder who loved the Scorpions. She could lay dimes like no other, and kick you ass if you said/did the wrong shit, seen it. She laid out a dude in the paint booth who pinched her ass, funny as shit. 2x her size and that guy fell like a tree.

Hate to say I never heard of her. Shows how out of touch I am. Guess she was on Mythbusters, too?

Seems like a really kick-ass chicka. RIP.

Just realized who this was. Awful, but a bit like hearing that a prolific BASE jumper or free soloist has died. No margin for error at those speeds.

Exception that proves the rule: I leased a boat from a chap who punched out of F104 at 590 MPH indicated airspeed, and lived.

Well, I guess this is proof that DIY hot rodding a fighter jet to ground travel needs a little more expertise than a bad ass chick tv star and her bad assness. First thing you need is a few aerospace guys to figure out the aerodynamics, at least, like when Thrust was developed.

She had hit 483 in previous runs. According to this report, she was attempting to hit 619.

That's when aerodynamics get super freaky, because you're breaking the sound barrier, sending shock waves 360. Hard enough in the air, dangerous on the ground. It's been done already, though. Don't see the point in a woman repeating the feat. Doesn't take strength.

Here. I'll let the current record holder explain. Oh, and btw, unless they changed the rules for reality TV, you have to make two runs within an hour to set a record.

Amazing achievement. Not to be trifled with.

I’ve been in the pits with old college buddies setting records at Speed Week, it’s not a one hour window Bunny. You are talking out of your butthole once again.
