Subscribed. Sounds like a real interesting trip. All four of my grandparents were from Newfoundland and I’ve never been.

I've never done that route but I took a long road trip in 2010 through Newfoundland and Labrador. NL is hands down one of the wildest places I've ever been with the greatest people, even if you can't understand a single word they're saying.
Tangentially related but also useless: The Boat Who Wouldn't Float by Farley Mowat is a fantastic Newfoundland story.

There is a microbrewery in Dildo.
Also this place has tasty gin - including their seaweed gin (don't knock it til you try it)

Newfoundland is canceled, pesky hurricane. Still doing a trip just not sure where
“The forecasts I've read are talking about 120kmh winds and bands of rain. The first band could bring 150mm of rain in a day. “
