    all of which are created nightly in breckenridge during ski season

    In college one of my friends kept a pot going on the stove constantly and kept throwing in leftovers until it was time to invite everyone over for soup. That soup was as good as any I've ever had.
    In discussing soup it is important to make the distinction between soup that is an introductory course and soup that is the main course. For the former--Cuban black bean, for the latter minestrone.

    PS--I tried making minestrone in a crock pot when our kitchen was being remodeled and we didn't have a stove. It was awful.
