20 hours in a modern coach seat sounds like a stellar recipe for DVT, and about as comfortable as simultaneous DV/DA.

    Longest travel day I've ever done was KOK-HEL, HEL-LHR, LHR-SEA, SEA-BZN.

I'd rather do the one 20 hour flight instead of hopping off and on planes and humping through airports searching for overpriced beer.

Would definitely need some edibles and some Ambien to get through it. Would need to use the aisles to do lunges or something though, because fuck sitting for 20 hours straight with only bathroom breaks

Imagine if there is some delay after landing, and you're stuck on the tarmac waiting.

This. A few years ago I was trying to save $100 flying home (Geneva) and decided not to take the direct from SLC to Paris and instead fly through JFK first. I did save $100 but it took me over 40 hours door to door and I was out of commission the first 5 days of the trip.
I'd rather spend 20 hours in the tin box, sleep 5 hours then take a walk up and down the aisles every hour...

Speaking of Ambien/edibles, my last attempt at Ambien was a disaster. I waited to fall asleep all the fucking way to Paris then staid awake for another 8 hours. The stuff was like a dozen caffeine pills for me.
What's you guys' timing with edibles? I'd rather not gobble up a gummy before going through security then have it hit while I'm waiting to board...

    This!

Even a single domestic to LAX and then over can be way more than that single 19 hour flight.

Did 18 one time to China.
Sat next to a 747 pilot.
He started flying in the Korean war and just finished his last flight. Officially retired.
You meet some really cool people on those long trips.
We broke up our trip last week to Croatia with smaller flights.
Probably get a non stop next time.
Dealing with security in airports causes more stress than just grinding a long flight now.

Flew Seattle to Dhaka once, layover in China somewhere.

Took a few Xanax and a couple drinks. Shakira was up in first class and I kept going up and trying to talk to her. My boss would send me back to my seat.

    Like time travel.

That’s long enough to have a whole awkward breakup phase and then get bored and hook up again!

Don't be paranoid about edibles, but don't be a jerk and be blatant about it. TSA isn't looking for drugs, they're looking for weapons. Buy some cough drops, and mix it up with edbles wrapped in the cough drop wrappers. Cough a little and smile. Dogs can't smell them, especially if you keep them off the ground, so, backpack.

Not too long ago a maggot told me that hetravelled with a dab pen. The TSA agent took the dab pen out of his bag, held it in his hand and then just gave it back to him. You're right, they don't care about it, and are not looking for it.
Of course, the days are long gone when you can smoke a bowl in the bathroom, or a blunt in the smoking section of the plane. Those were the days
